Local anesthesia. Dosage varies depending on the anesthetic technique and clinical indication, including caudal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, infiltration anesthesia, peripheral nerve block, retrobulbar block, spinal anesthesia, sympathetic nerve block, intravenous regional anesthesia, and dental anesthesia. The maximum recommended dose is generally 4.5 mg/kg or 300 mg per administration, except in specified situations. Pediatric dosage should be adjusted according to body weight, age, and clinical condition.
